Remove the existing fire alarm system in the Curry Building and replace it with a fully-addressable fire alarm system. The new system should be capable of voice notification for both fire and mass notifications. The current fire alarm is obsolete and the equipment and replacement parts are not readily available. An updated system is required to ensure that the building occupants are notified as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency.
Interior demolition and renovation for the construction of new classrooms, acting studio, lighting lab and restrooms to support Theatre Department.
The project will repair and seal cracks and joints, replace expansion joints, and install new drains for improved water management.
Replace the existing addressable fire alarm system, add mass notification, and address ADA deficiencies for rooms designated for hearing/ visually impaired. Additional work will install security cameras for improved safety.
